Me in 10 minutes.
Investing, business, and the enigma of wealth creation are the fields that I am deeply passionate about. For almost 15 years, they have captivated and motivated me. Despite facing challenges along the way, I remain dedicated and committed to this path. I have encountered setbacks both personally and professionally, but they have only strengthened my resolve. Retirement is not my goal; I will pursue these interests indefinitely. It takes time to find your flow, but I hope you too find your own “forever” passion.
Why did I pursue a path of entrepreneurship and investing?
I have always aimed for financial freedom because I value independence and the freedom to make my own choices. Material possessions and luxury have never been my primary focus. From a young age, I made a deliberate decision to never work for someone else. It sounded good at the time, but it came at a cost.
At 20, I started working for myself to be self-sufficient. It was tough, but I never gave up. I’m grateful for where I am now, knowing not everyone is as lucky on their journey.
Why is my life boring to a lot of people?
I choose to concentrate on a select few areas in my life and eliminate anything that doesn’t serve a purpose. My main priorities include dedicating time to my family, focusing on my health, and my work. I find joy in activities such as reading, thinking, refining my investing skills, and learning about life and our minds. Even though it may seem unconventional, this lifestyle brings both adventure and fulfillment to me and my family.
My family and I do travel extensively though…so it isn’t all dull.
Why did I exit the 9-5 grind?
(It was more like 4am to 9pm)
For over 10 years, I used to say “yes” to everything, taking on too many commitments and losing sight of my purpose. I found myself perpetually involved in more opportunities than I could handle. However, I made the decision to take a step back, focus on what truly matters to me, and master those areas. Despite criticism, I don’t regret leaving behind old connections and a vast business network to start afresh.
Why am I not on social media?
I choose not to use social media because I find it uninteresting and distracting. Although this may mean that I miss out on some readers, I am content with my decision. Instead, I prefer to engage with people through my blog. If you would like to connect with me, please visit CONNECT and send me an email.
By eliminating the distractions, I believe I will be able to be consistent and sustain the idea of The Stoic Investors over a lifetime without being overwhelmed. Remember, the goal is to do what we want to, I live by that, and I donβt want to run socials. π
I did secure the names just in case I change my mind. Perhaps one day the facts will change!
Why did I start The Stoic Investors?
Over the past 15 years, I have accumulated a vast amount of work related to my experiences in business, investing and what I’ve learned from others. Initially, I undertook this project solely for myself, to reflect on my progress and pinpoint areas where I could improve. However, I now aspire to share my journey and inspire others. I believe that active participation (not sitting on the sidelines) and personal experience are the best ways to learn, and I only write about topics that I have personally encountered.
